Miro Assist can be used with a variety of board objects including sticky notes, images, code blocks, cards, sequence diagrams, and mind maps. Let Miro Assist help you brainstorm and unlock your team’s creativity.

⚠️ Miro Assist is in beta and is continually evolving. As a result, Miro Assist may produce incorrect information, biased information, or may not know about recent events from the last 6-12 months, resulting in inaccurate/outdated information. Always check and confirm your results when using Miro Assist.
✏️ Miro Assist is only available for Members. Guests and visitors cannot use Miro Assist.
Using Miro Assist with sticky notes
- Click on the sticky you want to work with.
- From the context menu, click the Miro Assist button.
- Choose Add similar sticky notes.
- Your content will be generated and placed on the board. If there isn't space to view the new sticky notes, click Go to results. If you're happy with the results, click Keep.

To interact with multiple sticky notes:
- Select the sticky notes you want to work with.
- From the context menu, click the Miro Assist button.
- Click Summarize sticky notes.
- The Miro Assist side panel will open with a summary of your selected sticky notes.
- From here, you can either copy the summary as text using the Copy button, or you can place the summary on your board as sticky notes. To do this, click Create as and choose Sticky Notes.
- Your content will be generated and placed on the board.

- Click Generate sticky notes.
- Type a suggestion or click one of the pre-made examples.

Using Miro Assist with images
Images can be generated from sticky notes, or from the Command palette.
- Click the sticky you want to generate an image from.
- From the context menu, click the Miro Assist button.
- Click Generate image.
- Your image will be generated and placed on the board. If you're happy with the results, click Keep.

Using Miro Assist with code blocks
- Using the Creation toolbar, add a blank code block to your board.
- In the code block, type your request. For example:
Show me an example of adding Google Analytics code to a webpage.
- From the context menu, click the Miro Assist button. If the button is grayed out, click outside the code block and click into it again to activate the button.
- Click Generate code from natural language.
- Your code example will be generated and placed on the board in a new code block. If the code runs off the code block, click the Line numbers button.

You can also ask Miro Assist to explain the code to you:
- Click on the code sample that was generated for you.
- Click the Miro Assist button and choose Explain code. You'll see a brief explanation of what the code will do.

- Press CMD + K (Mac) or CTRL + K (Windows) to open the Command palette, or click the Main menu hamburger and choose Command palette.
- Click Generate code.
- Type a suggestion or click one of the pre-made examples. For example:

- Your code block will be generated and added to your board. If you're happy with the results, click Keep.

Using Miro Assist with cards
- Using the Creation toolbar, add a blank card to your board.
- In the card, type your request, for example, Users want to be able to change colors and fonts.
- From the context menu, click the Miro Assist button.
- Click Generate cards with user stories.
- User story cards will be added to your board. If you're happy with the results, click Keep.

To add acceptance criteria to cards:
- Click the user story card that was previously generated.
- From the context menu, click the Miro Assist button.
- Click Add acceptance criteria to this card.
- The card will open and its acceptance criteria will be added as a numbered list.

- Click Generate cards with user stories.
- Type a suggestion (for example, Users want to be able to change colors and fonts) or click one of the pre-made examples.
- Your user story cards will be generated and added to your board.

Note that you can add acceptance criteria using Miro Assist in the context menu once the user story cards have been added to your board.
Using Miro Assist with sequence diagrams
Sequence diagrams can only be generated from the Command palette.
- Press CMD + K (Mac) or CTRL + K (Windows) to open the Command palette, or click Main menu hamburger and choose Command palette.
- Click Generate Sequence Diagram.
- Type a description for your diagram (for example, SSO Authentication) or click one of the pre-made examples.
- Your sequence diagram will be generated and added to your board.

Using Miro Assist with mind maps
- Add a mind map to your board using the More apps button on the Creation toolbar, or from the Command palette.
- Fill in some nodes for your mind map. For example, in the first main node, type Agile practices, then press Enter. For the secondary node, type Scrum, then press Enter. For the next secondary node, type Test-driven development, then stop.
- Select a secondary node and click the Miro Assist button from the context menu.
- Choose an option from Expand with questions / ideas / topics.
- Several new nodes will be added to your secondary node. If you're happy with the results, click Keep.

- Click Generate mind map.
