Upgraded your account but later decided to change your plan? Miro allows you to switch to another solution that will fit your needs best. Feel free to proceed whenever you wish - the content of your boards will not be affected! The instructions below will help you to:
- switch from Team plan to Consultant or Business
- switch from Consultant or Business plan to Team
- upgrade Personal plan
- downgrade to Free plan.
Switching from the Team plan to the Consultant or Business plan
Switching from Team plan
Choose a plan in the pop-up menu and click Upgrade. The proration for unused time on the Team plan will be applied to the purchase.
⚠️ Please note that it's not possible to switch from an annual subscription to monthly.
✏️ You may upgrade a Team plan account to the Business plan with a self-serve invoice.
Switching from the Consultant, Business plan to the Team plan
If you'd like to switch from the Consultant or Business plan to the Team plan, please reach out to Miro Support. Since the downgrade flow hasn't been automated yet, there are few manual steps required on both your and our side.
Upgrading the Personal plan
In order to change the Personal (Premium) plan to any other plan, open the Account Settings > Billing information > Overview and click Change plan.
⚠️ Switching back to the Personal plan is not possible since the plan has been phased out in Miro.

Downgrading to the Free plan
If you wish to downgrade to the Free plan, cancel your subscription in the Account Settings > Billing information > Overview. You'll be able to use the paid features until the end of the billing period.
When the subscription expires, click Choose your plan in the notification on the dashboard, scroll down and click Downgrade to Free.

⚠️ After downgrading to the Free plan, your private boards will be locked as the board privacy is a paid feature. To unlock such boards share them with your team. Here's how you can do that.
