Available for: Enterprise, Business, Consultant plans
The advanced user management in Miro allows account Admins to easily filter and manage access levels of all users in one place. The role and the license are the main factors that determine the user access level to the assets in your account.
Account roles
There are three possible roles within the Enterprise, Business, Consultant plan accounts in Miro.
Company Admin — can see and manage the account and create and edit boards.
Member — can create and edit boards; sees but can’t manage the account.
Non-Team User — can see and edit (on Occasional license) only boards that they are invited to; can’t create and own boards. Can’t see account or Teams.
License consumption
There are several possible license types that you can assign to users.
Full — unlimited usage, billed monthly or yearly. Applicable to users with Member and Company Admin roles.
Occasional — using Day Passes — grants 24 hours of access to the account with role-specific permissions, consumes daily if applied. Applicable to all users. 1 Day Pass on Occasional license = 24 hours of access to the shared editable boards. Learn more in the dedicated article about the occasional license.
Free — on standard accounts (without Flexible Licensing Program), viewing and commenting option for Non-Team Users only. On Enterprise subscriptions with Flexible Licensing Program activated, members with Free license are automatically converted to Full once a Free member uses a paid feature. Learn more in the article: License Management on FLP subscriptions.
Free Restricted - viewing and commenting with the option to request editing access (applicable for Enterprise plan only). On standard (non-FLP) Enterprise accounts, Free Restricted is assigned as soon as the subscription runs out of paid Full licenses. On FLP accounts, users can be assigned Free Restricted license automatically when joining the account or by Company admin. Learn more in the article: Free Restricted License.
