At Miro, we care about the safety of our users and strive to improve the clarity of our tools! This is necessary in order to increase the security of working with data.
How did it use to work? You could go to any board of one of your accounts, select a file and click Add to Saved Files in the menu. After that, you could find the file on the Toolbar > Upload > Saved Files and you could use it on any boards of any account to which you had access. It means the file was saved within your profile, regardless of what accounts the board was in.
Adding the image on the board to the library of Saved Files
The same happened with the Chrome Extension, screenshots and images from the web went to the Chrome Extension library in the Upload menu and you could use them on any boards of any account to which you had access.
Now, in the context of data security, we change the logic behind the storage for the files you upload via the Chrome Extension and save on boards. In the new approach, we link the files to the team within which you save it. This means that files saved to the library within one account can only be available in this account.
In order to switch to the new mode of operation, you must transfer all current files to the context of one of your accounts. This can be done by opening the Saved Files or Chrome Extension library on any board.
