The Miro app for Microsoft Teams brings the power of the infinite whiteboard to the Teams space to enable collaboration in one seamless experience. As soon as you install the Miro app in Microsoft Teams, you can access Miro boards across your entire workspace.
This guide can be used by Microsoft Teams and Miro Admins to enable the experience for their users.
⚠️ Microsoft Admins may need to enable the Miro app within the 3rd party apps catalogue for Teams before users can install the integration. Settings can vary per account. More information on how to manage apps in Microsoft Teams can be found here.
⚠️ For Enterprise customers who are leveraging our advanced app management features, the Miro app may need to be allowed by the Admin both on the Miro side and on the Microsoft side in order to be used. More information can be found here.
Available for: all Miro plans, all Microsoft Teams plans. Permission and access settings will vary based on plan type
Available on: Desktop version. Meeting organizers can only share a Miro board to the meeting stage via the Microsoft desktop app, not the web version. All Meeting participants can join and collaborate on the board from the Microsoft web-app, mobile, or tablet

How to enable the Miro app experience in Microsoft Teams
First, go to your Microsoft Teams admin dashboard. On the left hand side, select the Teams apps section.

Select Manage apps in order to configure Miro. Search for Miro in the search bar.

Once you see the Miro app, select Miro and click on Allow.

Here, you will be prompted to allow the Miro app to be available for all users in your organization. Select Allow.

You can also configure Miro for a specific team in your organization. Select Add to team.

Here, you will be prompted to search for a specific team. Once you find the team, click Add.

Manage Microsoft Teams apps in your Miro Admin settings
In your Company settings > Apps, you'll see two Microsoft Teams apps:
- Miro for Microsoft Teams (tab integration)
- Microsoft Teams (bot integration)
If you turn off Microsoft Teams (bot integration), users will no longer receive Miro notifications within Microsoft Teams.

Understanding board sharing access settings
Users can define the appropriate permissions for sharing a board within a Teams meeting.

They can choose between four options: Anyone in Teams can edit/comment/view or Private (which means that the sharing settings will be the same as what is set on the Miro side).
