Miro allows you to embed boards in external applications and share them within those applications via access links. Now you can easily track, manage, and revoke access to embedded board links shared in external apps.
Set up by: board owners, board co-owners
Available on: desktop browser, Desktop app
To manage access links for boards embedded in external apps:
- Open a Miro board.
- Click on the Share button to open the sharing settings.
- Select Sharing settings.
- Open the Embeds tab.
Here, you will see a list of the unique access links that have been generated for this board if the board is currently embedded in external applications. You can see the name of the integration where the board was embedded, when and who embedded the board, and the board access settings within the app.
✏️ For some old links we can only show their level of access and application, but not by whom or when the board was embedded.
To revoke access for a specific embedded board click Revoke access. Note that this action is irreversible.
Removing an access link
After embed access is revoked, the board access within the app gets limited. All other accesses remain intact for that board. For example:
- If anyone could edit the board within the application and the same board is publicly shared for viewing on the Miro side, then anyone will still be able to view the board within the app
- If the board is private and only shared with other users via email, the embedded board will require sign-in to access it within the app
💡 If you want to limit access-links usage for your Enterprise organization, please refer to Managing Enterprise sharing policy for embed integrations.
Managing embedded board access links is not yet supported on mobile and tablet devices.
