What is 2FA?
2FA is an extra layer of protection used to ensure the security of online accounts beyond just a username and password. With 2FA, Enterprise Company admins can require everyone that is logging into their Miro account with email and password (non-SSO users) to go through an extra identity proofing layer. This way, it will be sure it is you accessing your account.
Why am I asked to set up two-factor authentication?
You are part of an Enterprise account that has required all non-SSO users to secure their login with two-factor authentication. Ask for the Company Admin for more information if you need help.
What is an authenticator app?
Authenticator apps are Smartphone apps that generate a one-time code that you use to confirm that it's you logging into Miro. They are the second step of two-factor authentication (2FA). Miro supports most authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Authy. You can ask your Company Admin for preference.
Do you have to use it every time I log in?
Yes. You need to do the initial setup only once. After that, with every login, you simply need to use your app to ensure it is you that is logging in.
What if I lose access to my authenticator app?
If you have lost access to your app, click Reset two-factor authentication and fill in your recovery code. If you don’t have your recovery code, click Contact Support, and they will reset your 2FA manually.
