As Company admin, you can assign users to a billing group automatically based on cost center, if your organization uses SCIM provisioning.
In Admin Console, users assigned to a billing group by cost center have the Managed by SCIM label next to their names. These users can only be assigned, reassigned, and removed from their respective billing groups via SCIM.
NOTE: You must already have configured your identity provider (IdP) and enabled SCIM in Miro. For more information, see SCIM.
TIP: Ensure you are familiar with these admin guidelines for billing groups and cost centers.
Assign users to a billing group via SCIM
- Ensure you have SCIM set up, and your identity provider configured.
- In Admin Console, go to Billing > Billing groups.
- To create a new billing group, click Create billing group. For an existing billing group, click the vertical three-dots at the end of the row, then click Edit.
- Under Cost center (optional), add your cost center.
To add multiple cost centers, add a cost center then press Enter on your keyboard. - Click Save | Create billing group.
NOTE: Miro does not verify cost center information. Ensure the cost center names you enter are accurate. Names are not case-sensitive.
Remove a cost center from a billing group
- In Admin Console, go to Billing > Billing groups.
- For the billing group you want to edit, click the vertical three-dots at the end of the row.
- Under Cost center (optional), click the X next to any cost center you want to remove.
- Click Save.
NOTE: You can allocate a cost center to one billing group. To reassign a cost center, you must remove the cost center from its current billing group.
Admin guidelines for billing groups and cost centers
- A billing group can include multiple cost centers.
- A given cost center can belong to only one billing group.
- Users assigned to a billing group based on cost center cannot be manually re-assigned to another billing group.
- Removing a cost center from your billing group will also remove all SCIM-provisioned users from that billing group.
- Non-SCIM-provisioned users may be manually assigned to any billing group.
