Frequently asked questions
- Which Trello users can utilize the Trello integration within Miro? Only authorized users who are part of the Miro team or organization where the board is hosted can use the Trello integration. Additionally, these users must possess the necessary permissions within Trello itself to interact with the cards.
- Who can see the Trello cards once they are imported into a Miro board? Any user with access to the Miro board (i.e., those with view, comment, or edit permissions for the board) can view the imported Trello data. Importantly, users do not require Trello authorization or a Trello license to simply view the imported card data displayed on the Miro board.
- Why is the Trello integration currently in a Beta phase, and what does this mean for security? The "Beta" status indicates that the user experience is still under active development and refinement. Miro is actively seeking feedback from users to enhance the integration. From a security standpoint, security remains a paramount concern for Miro, even for Beta features. The Trello integration Beta has successfully undergone a security review by the Miro security team, adhering to Miro's internal security guidelines.
- Can I access or view Trello cards through the Miro integration if I do not have direct access to them in Trello? No, each user interacts with the Trello integration using their individual Trello account. This means that users can only search for, import, or edit Trello cards within Miro in accordance with the permissions they already hold within the Trello system. However, once cards are imported onto a Miro board, they become visible to all other users who have access to that specific Miro board.
