Visualize your workflow and get more done as a team with our Columns framework. Miro Columns can be used in a variety of use cases from agile development to personal task tracking.
Adding Columns
To add Columns to your board, choose it in Tools, Media and Integrations (), search for Columns, then click the board in the needed place.
You can change the size of your Columns widget by dragging its sides.
Columns and swimlanes
Add and arrange columns and swimlanes to your Columns widget by:
- Click on the Columns widget to reveal the context menu.

Click the Add column or Add swimlane icons.
Columns will be added to the right-hand side while swimlanes will be added at the bottom. - Rearrange columns or swimlanes by clicking the three dots (...) icon and selecting the needed Move direction.
- Double click the heading of a column to rename it.
Under the three dots (...) menu, you can add, move, rename, and delete columns and swimlanes or change the color of columns.
Cards

To add a card, click the plus icon inside a swimlane. Alternatively, drag an existing card to your Columns widget from the board.
Drag cards to move them to another column/swimlane.
⚠️ Cards within Columns can't be locked and grouped.
Speed up your work by using the shortcuts:
- Enter/Return to create a new card
- Tab to switch to the next card in a column
- Tab + Shift to switch to the previous card in a column
- ←→↑↓ to select a card
- Ctrl + C and Cmd + V (for Windows), Cmd + C and Cmd + V (for Mac) to duplicate a card
- Ctrl + ↑↓ (for Windows), Cmd + ↑↓ (for Mac) to add a new card below or above
- Escape to exit editing mode

No, you can only add cards.
