Miro's advanced text search helps you quickly find and organize information on your board.
Access the Find function
You can access the Find function in two ways:
- Click the three dots (...) icon on the board menu, then navigate to the Edit submenu.
- Use the keyboard shortcut: Cmd + F (for Mac) or Ctrl + F (for Windows) [^1].
Finding Objects on a Board
To search for objects:
- Initiate the Find function using one of the methods above.
- Type your search term into the search field.
- A list of results will appear, including Miro widgets that contain your search term.
- Found objects will be highlighted on the board, while other content will be dimmed. The results are also listed below the search field.
- Click on any search result to navigate directly to that object on the board.
Filtering Search Results
You can refine your search by filtering the results. For example, you can search specifically for stickies with a particular tag or only among text notes. To filter:
- Click the filter option next to the search field.
- Change All content to another category from the drop-down menu.

You can use this workaround in your browser: enter the text editing mode by clicking the text box/sticky and use the in-built browser page search (for example, in Chrome, you can press Ctrl + F (for Windows)/ Cmd + F (for Mac).
