A Journey turns workshop output into a structured customer journey on your board. It has phases, steps, lanes, and a sentiment curve, and your team can keep editing it together, by hand or with Sidekick.
Key features
Journeys includes the following key features:
- Phases, steps, and lanes: Steps are the columns of your journey, phases group the steps, and lanes are the rows (for example Customer actions, Touchpoints, or Pain points).
- Cards: Add cards where a lane meets a step, or drag Sticky notes and Miro Cards from the board into the Journey.
- Sentiment curve: Rate each step from Very positive to Very negative, and Miro draws a curve across the steps.
- Shape it to your practice: Rename, reorder, hide, collapse, color, and delete lanes, phases, and steps, and color the whole grid by lane or by phase.
- Images on cards: Add images as card covers for storyboards and screenshots. See Attachment field.
- Jira and Azure DevOps cards: Bring work items into the Journey, so a pain point becomes tracked work.
- Create with Sidekick: Sidekick builds a Journey from a prompt or from content on your board, and keeps editing it after.
- AI agents: Claude and other agents create and edit Journeys through the Miro MCP Server.
- Keyboard and screen reader support: Build and navigate a Journey without a mouse.
