Business Plan trial for Starter Plans
Available for: Starter Plan
Who can sign up: Company Admins, Billing Admins
Enjoy all the features of our Business Plan at your current Starter Plan price for 14 days.
After 14 days, your subscription will seamlessly transition to Business Plan. Any unused time from your Starter Plan will be prorated into your first Business Plan billing.
If you decide the Business Plan isn’t right for you, simply cancel the trial within the 14-day window. You'll go back to your original Starter Plan after 14 days.
Adding Team Members and Guests during the trial
Add new Team Members at no cost during your Business Plan trial. Once the trial ends, they'll seamlessly join your Business Plan.
If you cancel the trial, they'll move to your Starter Plan, where additional license fees apply. To monitor future costs, you have the option to manage your licenses at any point during the trial.
You can invite Guests for free on both Starter and Business plans. While on the Business Plan, Guests have the added benefit of edit access. Should you cancel the trial, their access will go back to viewing and commenting on the Starter Plan.
Managing licenses and billing during the trial
- Control over costs: Add or remove team members during the trial to control upcoming costs if you decide to cancel.
- Change payment method: Update your credit card details during the trial if needed. This information will be used as your default payment method for all future Miro billing.
- Starter Plan renewals: If your Starter Plan renews during the trial, you'll only be charged for the Starter Plan, with prorated adjustments made if you upgrade to Business Plan after the trial.
How to cancel the trial
You can cancel the 14-day trial at any time. Even after cancellation, you'll continue to enjoy all the benefits of the Business Plan for the remainder of the 14-day period.
- Go to your Company settings > Billing.
- In the Overview tab, under Plan details, click Cancel trial.
- Click Continue.
- Check the box to agree to the Terms of Service, and click Downgrade.
- Select a reason for canceling the Business Plan trial, and click Submit.
- You will see a confirmation message that Your trial has been cancelled.
Canceling the trial and downgrading back to Starter Plan
Business Plan trial for Free Plans
Available for: Free Plan
Who can sign up: All users on Free Plan
Enjoy all the features of our Business Plan free for 14 days. After 14 days, and after adding your payment details, your subscription will seamlessly transition to Business Plan.
If after adding your payment details and during the trial you decide the Business Plan isn’t right for you, simply cancel within the 14-day window and the plan will expire after the trial period, without charging you.
Adding Team Members and Guests during the trial
Add new Team Members, and Guests with edit access, at no cost during your Business Plan trial. Once the trial ends, they'll seamlessly join your Business Plan.
Canceling the trial
If the Business Plan isn't a perfect fit during the trial, but you enjoyed some of our advanced features, you have the option to downgrade to the Starter Plan or simply cancel the trial outright.
If you choose to downgrade to Starter Plan, your team will automatically switch to the Starter Plan when the Business Plan trial ends, and you’ll start a new paid subscription.
- Go to your Company settings > Billing.
- In the Overview tab, scroll down and click Cancel trial.
- Click Continue.
- Select Downgrade to Starter at the end of trial and click Continue.
- Review the downgrade details and the cost of the Starter Plan.
- Check the box to agree to the Terms of Service, and click Downgrade.
- Select a reason for canceling the Business Plan trial, and click Submit.
- You will see a confirmation message that your Downgrade is scheduled. You will also receive an email confirmation of your downgrade, and a welcome email when your Starter Plan subscription starts.
Canceling the trial and downgrading to Starter Plan
- Go to your Company settings > Billing.
- In the Overview tab, click Cancel trial.
- Click Continue.
- Select Cancel Trial and click Continue.
- Select a reason for canceling the Business Plan trial, and click Cancel trial.
- You will see a confirmation message that Your cancellation is confirmed.
After canceling the trial, to downgrade back to Free Plan go to your Billing settings > Change plan > select Free Plan.
Canceling the trial outright
Role changes when downgrading from Business Plan to Starter Plan
When downgrading, remember to review and update admin roles. This is key for organizations with several teams. We'll guide you with notifications about these changes during the downgrade:
- Team Admins will become Members after downgrading. This changes access to settings and functions.
- Company Admins will change to Team Admins to keep their admin rights.
