Miro expects that everyone who uses Miro’s visual workspace for innovation, including Miro Academy, Miro Community, Miro Marketplace, Miro Templates Library, Miroverse, our websites, our developer tools, and our APIs (collectively, “Miro Services”) to act professionally in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, terms and conditions, and guidelines to preserve the integrity of Miro Services and the rights and interest of Miro and others.
These Conduct and Content Standards (“Standards”) apply generally to your use of Miro Services and all types of content on Miro Services, including AI-generated content. The Standards supplement existing terms and conditions that apply to your use of Miro Services, including Miro Service documentation and applicable Community guidelines established by Miro. Refer to applicable Miro Service terms and conditions to learn about permissible exceptions to these Standards.
Preserve the integrity of Miro Services
- Do not disable, interfere, or circumvent access restrictions or service operations
- Do not share user login credentials or provide access to an unauthorized third party
- Do not conduct any security or vulnerability tests or scans
- Do not transmit any malicious or destructive content (e.g., viruses) or other harmful materials
- Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your connection with any person or entity
- Do not engage in any fraudulent, misleading, illegal or unethical activities
- Do not store or transmit illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
Preserve the rights and interests of Miro and others when using Miro Services
- Do not promote or solicit any violence or actions that are threatening to or could endanger any person, entity or public safety
- Do not promote or solicit any illegal or harmful activities or substances
- Do not promote or solicit any content that is fraudulent, false or inaccurate, misleading, deceptive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or offensive
- Do not promote discrimination, bigotry, racism, hatred, harassment, or harm against any individual or group
- Do not promote malicious or destructive content, such as viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware, dishonest adware, scareware, crimeware, or any other malicious or destructive software of programs
- Do not engage in any unwanted direct communication or spamming
- Do not infringe on Miro’s and others’ rights to privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual property
- Do not scrape, data mine, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or seek unauthorized access to source code, non-public APIs or unauthorized data
- Do not remove or obscure any proprietary notices in Miro Services
- Do not modify, create derivative works, or copy any element of Miro Services
- Do not store or transmit content that is subject to laws and regulation that govern physical storage location and access permissions (e.g., international export controls, trade secret protections, or data localization requirements)
Report potential violations
Some of Miro Services, including Miroverse, make use of automated scanning of content against certain prohibited terms or patterns to prevent unwanted content from Miro Services. In addition, you can help preserve the integrity of Miro Services as well as the rights and interests of Miro and others by reporting a potential violation of our Standards. Note, that Miro and its personnel generally communicate in the English language.

- To report a potential violation on other Miro Services, submit an email at standardsviolation(at)miro.com along with your name and meaningful information, such as url/links, profile information and descriptions of the conduct or content, that help Miro to identify and address the potential violation.
Miro will treat every report as submitted in good faith. Our internal team will review and verify a reported potential violation without undue delay, and assess and take appropriate action, which may include limiting access to or removing content (e.g., posts, images, and files) from Miro Services and suspending or terminating user accounts. In case of any action, Miro will inform the content author or account owner of the specific reason why we took action and the available redress mechanism.
In certain cases, Miro may be legally required to notify the content author to inform them of the reason for action along with information identifying the relevant violation. We will keep your identity confidential unless Miro is required by law to disclose identifying information (e.g., in cases of intellectual property rights infringement).
Miro may promptly inform relevant law enforcement or judicial authorities if we become aware of any information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offense, including a threat to the life or safety of a person.
