By default, Miro boards are automatically and permanently deleted from the Trash after 90 days. You can update the default setting and choose to automatically and permanently delete boards from the Trash in 30, 60, 90, or 180 days.
When you update the automatic and permanent board deletion period, the updated period applies only to boards that are newly moved to the Trash. Boards that are already in the Trash keep their existing deletion period. For example, you have Board X that is already in the trash, which has the default setting of a 90-day deletion period. You then updated the permanent deletion period to 180 days. Board Y is added to the Trash after you update the permanent deletion configuration to 180 days. In this scenario, Board X will keep the 90-day deletion period while Board Y will have the 180-day deletion period.
✏️ To set the permanent deletion period for boards in the Trash, you must have the Data Governance Admin role. To request for the Data Governance Admin role, contact your Company Admin.
