Frequently asked questions
- Which Asana users can utilize the Asana integration within Miro? Only authorized users who are part of the Miro team or organization where the board is hosted can use the Asana integration. Additionally, these users must possess the necessary permissions within Asana itself to interact with the tasks.
- Who can see the Asana tasks once they are imported into a Miro board? Any user with access to the Miro board (i.e., those with view, comment, or edit permissions for the board) can view the imported Asana data. Importantly, users do not require Asana authorization or an Asana license to simply view the imported task data displayed on the Miro board.
- Why is the Asana integration currently in a Beta phase, and what does this mean for security? The "Beta" status indicates that the user experience is still under active development and refinement. Miro is actively seeking feedback from users to enhance the integration. From a security standpoint, security remains a paramount concern for Miro, even for Beta features. The Asana integration Beta has successfully undergone a security review by the Miro security team, adhering to Miro’s internal security guidelines.
- Can I access or view Asana tasks through the Miro integration if I do not have direct access to them in Asana? No, each user interacts with the Asana integration using their individual Asana account. This means that users can only search for, import, or edit Asana tasks within Miro in accordance with the permissions they already hold within the Asana system. However, once tasks are imported onto a Miro board, they become visible to all other users who have access to that specific Miro board.
