Upload video files directly to your Miro Canvas for playback at any time by anyone on your board.
Upload videos
Drag and drop supported video files directly onto the Canvas to upload. Alternatively:
- Click on the Tools, Media and Integrations icon at the bottom of the Creation toolbar.
- Search for and select Video.
- Click on the Canvas where you'd like to place your uploaded video.
An empty Video widget will appear. - In the created Video widget, click Upload a video to open the file browser.
- Select the video file to upload and click Open.
- Allow a few seconds for the video to upload, depending on file size.
💡 When creating a template, you can stop after step 3 above to create a Video widget placeholder for template users to upload their own videos later.
You can also upload videos via the Upload option.
- Click on the Tools, Media and Integrations icon at the bottom of the Creation toolbar.
- Search for and select Upload > My device.
- Find the file you'd like to upload and click Open.
- Allow a few seconds for the video to upload, depending on file size.
✏️ Uploaded video files can be a maximum of 150MB.
Change the title of a video
The file name of your video will show up as the title on the preview thumbnail on the board. If you need to change this to something more descriptive:
- Click on the video to show the context menu bar.
- Click on the title in the context menu bar.
- Type in your new title and press enter.
The updated title will appear on the video preview.
Video formats supported
The following video formats are supported for upload:
- MP4
- MOV
- WebM
The following video codecs are supported:
- h264
- h265
- av1
- vp8
- vp9
Video controls
Video controls include:
- Play/Pause
- Forward/Backward in 10 second intervals
- Audio on/off
- Full screen
When in Full screen mode, keyboard controls are also supported. Use the space bar to pause or play the video, the arrow keys to skip ahead or back in 10 second intervals, or esc to exit Full screen mode..
