Use Miro search to easily find a board.
💡 To learn how to search on a specific board, check this article.
How to use search
To find a board on the dashboard, click Search at the top of the page or press Ctrl + F (for Windows)/Cmd + F (for Mac). Up to 25 of your most recently opened boards will appear under the search bar right away.
Recently opened boards under the search bar
Start typing a board name. You will see all the boards shared with you in the current team. Hover over the board name to see the details:
- board owner/users who have been added to the board
- board location (Team name > Project name)
- board description
- board creation date
- date of the last modification
Board details appear when you hover over its name
You can narrow the search by location and owner (on Free plan, you can search by owner only). To apply filters, click on the team/project or choose an owner in the drop-down list under the search bar. To remove a filter, click X.
Boards filtering
The search window will display results based on the current team you're in. If there are related results in other teams, you will see the list of teams at the bottom of the search window.

You can also share, rename, move boards, and perform other key actions via the menu right from the search results. The menu with all options will open up when you click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the board preview.Â

💡 Use this feature together with search filters to streamline board organization – for example, you can filter boards by owner and move them to a team or project quicker than before.
💡 Feel free to install Chrome Search Extension for Miro. Once the extension is added, type miro in the browser address bar and press Tab. The extension enables a quick search for Miro boards immediately from the address bar.

Advanced search on Enterprise plan
Enterprise users can perform a full cross-team search from their dashboard. That means any related content from teams that are under the Enterprise subscription will surface in the search results. They can search by board title, description, or text from any widgets, comments, sticky notes, etc. by typing a word or a phrase in the search bar.Â
Searching for content on Enterprise plan
The search window will show all the content items that contain the word or phrase you are looking for. You can click on each item under the Content section to view search results and expand the list of matches by clicking on the arrow on the left of the board name.Â
When you click on a specific search result under this section, the board will open to the specific location of the board where that search result exists so you don’t have to look for it.
