Which plans: All plans
Which platforms: Browser
Your Home dashboard is your innovation launchpad. Home surfaces your most relevant content first, like recently opened boards inside your teams and Spaces, and gets you started with a new canvas or template. When you access Miro.com without directly accessing a board by URL, you start at Home.
NOTE: Home replaces the Recent page. Your most recent work is always accessible from the Home dashboard.
The Home sidebar gives you access to your Starred boards, a Browse page where you can search and filter all team content that you can access, not just recent, and your Spaces. In any of these areas, you can also perform actions like Share, Copy board link, and Move to Space.
TIP: Star a board from your Home dashboard or Browse page. Hover over a board and click the star that appears at the end of the row.
The Home sidebar also provides search, a switcher to change your team or organization, and options for creating content, Spaces, and Groups.
Home sidebar navigation is available anywhere in Miro. For boards inside a Space, the Home sidebar collapses into a secondary sidebar next to the Space sidebar. From the secondary sidebar, you can return Home, or go directly to Search, Starred, or Browse. For a board not in any Space, the board sidebar shows the same navigation as the Home page.
Understand your dashboard layout
Your dashboard provides a centralized view of your teams and boards, enabling efficient navigation and management. You can see an overview of available teams and how boards are displayed.
From here, you can access key areas such as your profile, team settings, Spaces, boards shared with you, and your ★ starred boards. You can also perform actions like creating new boards, searching, uploading backups, and sorting your boards to fit your workflow.
Navigate between your teams
Switch between the Miro teams you are a member of or have been invited to. To see your teams, click your current team's name in the upper-left corner of the dashboard. A dropdown menu appears. Click another team's name to switch to it. You can also pin frequently used teams for quick access and reorder them in the list by dragging and dropping. If your organization has team discovery enabled or an Enterprise plan, you may also find options to join or request access to other teams.
Manage your profile settings
You can update your personal information and manage account-specific settings directly from the dashboard. To access your profile settings, click your name and avatar in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard, then click Settings to open your Profile details.
In your profile settings, you can edit your name, company, and role. You can also change your email, update your password, or delete your profile.
Organize and locate your boards
The dashboard offers several ways to organize and find your boards efficiently. You can filter boards by ownership (owned by anyone, owned by you, or not owned by you), sort them alphabetically or by date (created, last opened, last modified), and switch between a grid view or list view. The Recent section in the top-left corner shows boards you recently opened from any team. For quick access to important boards, you can star them, and they appear in the dedicated Starred boards view on your dashboard.
NOTE: Password-protected boards are only shown in the Recent and Starred lists as long as they are visible to you. Once the session expires, the boards are removed from these lists until you open the board again from a direct link and re-enter the board password.
Use the board menu for quick actions
You can perform various actions on your boards directly from the dashboard using the board menu. To open the menu for a specific board, click the three dots (...) on the board card.
From this menu, you can share boards, rename them, move boards to different projects or teams, duplicate (copy) them, delete boards, change board thumbnails, open board details, download board backups, and copy board links.
Find content with search
To find a specific board, use search. Click Search in the sidebar above Home, then type a board or Space name, or a general topic. Results show all content shared with you in the current team.
TIP: Use keyboard hotkeys to access Miro search. Press Ctrl + E (Windows) or Command + E (macOS).
If you are on an Enterprise plan, you can perform a full cross-team search, which includes board titles, descriptions, and text from widgets, comments, and sticky notes across all teams under your Enterprise subscription.
You can also install the Chrome search extension for Miro to search for Miro boards directly from your browser's address bar. For more details, see Search in Miro.
