Quickly glimpse ongoing conversations or feedback directly on the board. Simply hover over any comment to see a preview.

How to add comments
- Click the Comment icon in the Creation toolbar on the left, or press the C hotkey.
- To add a comment, click anywhere on the board or on an object. After clicking, start typing to draft your comment.
- Use @mentions to tag someone. For suggested mentions, simply start typing @. You can also tag yourself to assign tasks and set reminders in your feed notifications.
- To publish your comment, click the blue Publish button or press Enter.
✏️ Working directly with objects? Click on any object on the board to open its context menu and add a comment.
✏️ Use Shift + Enter to start a new line in your comment. Text formatting is not supported in comments.

Draft a comment
If you navigate away from the comment without clicking the Publish button or pressing Enter, your comment will be saved as a draft.
To access your draft comment, click on the board to open the comment thread. You will see the draft text. If your draft is a response to an existing comment thread, simply click on the comment to open the thread and find your draft.

To edit a comment, click on the body of text, update as needed, and then click Save.

Delete a comment
To delete a comment from the board, open the comment, click the three dots (...), and select Delete.
⚠️ Deleting multiple comments or all comments at once from the board is not possible. Additionally, removing a user from a team will not automatically remove their comments from team boards.

Choose a comment color
Customize your comments with colors to signify importance or categorize messages for your team. For example, use blue for ideas and green for discussions. To change a comment's color, open the comment and select a color from the options at the top.

The Comments panel brings all your mentions and comments together. To open the Comments panel, click the Activity icon in the top-right Collaboration toolbar. Selecting any comment in the panel instantly takes you to its location on the board.
Attaching comments to objects
Attach a comment directly to any object to make sure they move together around the board. To do this, simply position the comment over the desired object. If you need to move a comment to a different object, click and drag it to the new location.

⚠️ Comments attached to objects cannot be copied, cut, or pasted along with the objects. Additionally, comments cannot be exported. However, if you duplicate a board, any comments will be copied along with it.
Managing notifications
Never miss an update in the conversation. Follow all threads or only specific ones of interest. Once you leave a comment, reply, or are @mentioned, you will get a notification. When you wish to stop receiving updates, simply turn off the follow thread feature.
💡 You can adjust your notification preferences in your profile settings.

To follow all threads on a board, go to the board header in the top-left corner, click the three dots (...) icon, and under Preferences toggle on Follow all threads.

Pin a thread
Keep comment threads open on the board for discussion and brainstorming. To keep a thread open on the board, open the comment, click the three dots (...), and select Pin.
By pinning several comments you can keep multiple threads open simultaneously on your board.

Mark comments as read or unread to better focus on important messages and tasks that require your attention.

Resolve a comment
Focus your attention where it’s most needed. You can mark any comment thread as resolved to hide it from the board. Open the comment, and in the top-left corner toggle on Resolve.

To view resolved comments, open the Comments panel, click the Show dropdown, and toggle on Show resolved.

You can add comments in your notes for additional context and feedback. Simply click the Comment icon next to the text.

Engage effortlessly with discussions on our mobile app, where navigating through comments and threads offers a seamless experience similar to the desktop version.
Viewing and replying to comments:
- Open threads: Tap on a comment to view the entire thread.
- Leave a reply: Share your thoughts and contribute to the conversation.
- Resolve the thread: Mark discussions as completed.
- Manage notifications: Start or stop following the thread by pressing the bell icon.
- Customize visibility: Change the color of the comment for easier reference and organization.

The process to add a comment on mobile differs slightly from the desktop experience:
- Tap the plus icon (+) located in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- Choose Comment to share your new thought or idea.
