You can work in Miro with a mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen.

Auto-switch is set by default, but you can change it to Mouse or Trackpad. The navigation model is set for every user individually and applies to all tabs in the current browser.
- Select Mouse if you work with the Apple magic mouse. If you choose Mouse and use the trackpad, sliding with two fingers will zoom you
- Select Trackpad if you use the trackpad in combination with a mouse or graphic tablet. Trackpad mode is most convenient when you are used to scrolling down with a wheel and zooming with mouse wheel + Ctrl (for Windows)/Cmd (for Mac)
Switching between mouse and trackpad in navigation controls
You can also open the controls by right-clicking anywhere on the board and choosing Mouse or trackpad.
Touch events are automatically distinguished from mouse or trackpad events, so you do not need to set a specific navigation mode for your touchscreen device.
Switching between the pan and select tool
To pan around your board, please make sure to switch to the hand mode. To select an object, please activate the select mode. You can switch between the two modes by enabling/disabling the select tool on the toolbar (see below) or using the hotkeys V and H.
Switching between the pan and select tool
The select tool is not available for viewers/commenters that are not authorized in Miro or are not allowed to copy the board objects in the board content settings.
If you use a mouse, you can also move around the board
- while holding the right mouse button
- with the left mouse button while holding the Space bar
- with the left mouse button while holding the mouse wheel (available for some mice only)
Navigation on the board
Find the navigation controls in the bottom-right corner of your board. The controls allow you to change the zoom level, make the board content fit to the screen, open and navigate around the mini-map, enter and leave the full-screen mode.
