With Send to Miro in Claude Design, you can move a design you generated in Claude straight onto a Miro board in one click. The design arrives ready for your team to review, compare, and build on—no copy-paste or manual export.
Use Claude Design to generate first drafts, and use Miro as the place where your team adds context, aligns on a direction, and decides what to build.
What you can do
- Send a design from Claude Design to a Miro board as an embed widget.
- Collaborate around the design with comments, sticky notes, and frames.
- Add research, requirements, and feedback next to the design to drive decisions.
Requirements
Before you can send designs to Miro, make sure you have:
- Access to Claude Design with the Send to Miro option available.
- A Miro account with access to the team.
- Miro MCP Server enabled for your account. On Enterprise plans, an admin must enable MCP first—see the Admin guide for Miro MCP.
Connect Claude Design to Miro
The first time you use Send to Miro, you'll connect Claude Design to your Miro account.
- In Claude, open Customize > Connectors and add Miro.
- Complete the sign-in prompt to authorize the connection to Miro.
- Select the Miro team where you want your designs to land.
Send a design to Miro
- In Claude Design, open the design you want to send.
- Select Share > Send to, and then select Miro.
- Wait while Claude Design transfers the design to Miro. This can take a short time depending on the size of the design.
- When it's done, you'll see a confirmation that the design was imported. Select Open in Miro to view it on the board.
What appears on your board
Your design arrives as an embed widget on the board:
- You can move, resize, and arrange it like any other object.
- You can frame it, comment on it, and add sticky notes around it.
- Interactive behaviors from your design (such as hover states or simple transitions) work inside the embed.
The embed is a view of your Claude design. It isn't converted into native Miro shapes or an editable Miro Prototype yet.
Work with your design in Miro
Once the design is on the board, you and your team can:
- Add context: Place research, PRDs, requirements, and feedback right next to the design.
- Review together: Use comments and sticky notes during reviews to capture decisions where everyone can see them.
To change the design itself, edit it in Claude Design and send it again.
NOTE: Currently, each Send to Miro action adds an interactive embed to a new Miro board..
Security and data handling
- Designs are transferred over a secure (HTTPS) connection and checked before they're shown on your board.
- The design is displayed in a sandboxed embed that's isolated from the rest of your Miro workspace.
- Your prompts and conversations with Claude stay with Anthropic. Miro only receives the design you choose to send—not your Claude chat history.
Limitations
- Some advanced or unusual interactions may not render exactly as they do in Claude Design. The embed still shows a visual representation.
- Send to Miro works only for designs created in Claude Design—it isn't a general way to import arbitrary HTML or web pages into Miro.
- The design is read-only in Miro. To make changes, edit in Claude Design and resend.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a "Send to Miro" option in Claude Design
- Confirm the Miro connection is set up in Claude Design.
- Confirm Miro MCP Server is enabled for your account. On Enterprise plans, ask your admin to enable it—see the Admin guide for Miro MCP.
The embed shows but doesn't behave as expected
- Some advanced interactions aren't fully supported in the embed. Keep the original in Claude Design and refer to Anthropic's documentation for what Claude Design can produce.
