Who can do it: Company admins, User admins
Which plans: Enterprise
Which platforms: Browser
As Company admin, or User admin, you can convert all internal guests to members in one action. Miro assigns them the member role, and adds them to the teams where they were previously invited as guests, so they can collaborate beyond their initial invitations.
What are internal guests?
Internal guests are guests with an email address from a domain verified by your organization, including your primary domain. Guests can only access boards they're invited to. Learn more about internal and external users.
NOTE: Bulk conversion to member applies only to internal guests. Guests with an email address from a domain you haven't verified stay guests.
What happens when you convert internal guests
When you convert internal guests, Miro:
- Changes each internal guest's role from guest to member.
- Adds each internal guest to the teams they were already connected to, as a member.
- Adds each internal guest to the teams they're eligible for under your Just-in-Time provisioning (JIT) and Auto-capture settings.
- Updates each internal guest's license according to your organization's license settings. Learn more about license management on the Flexible Licensing Program (FLP).
TIP: There's no limit on the number of internal guests you can convert at once. The conversion runs in the background, so you can leave the admin page while it runs.
Convert internal guests to members
- In Admin Console | Company settings, go to Users > All users.
- Click the Guests tab. A banner shows how many internal guests are from company domains.
- Click Convert all to members. A dialog opens, explaining the conversion.
- Click Convert to members (x). Miro schedules the conversion and runs it in the background.
Track the conversion
- Click the control center (checkbox) button, in the top-right of Admin Console | Company settings, to open the list of bulk operations you've run. The conversion appears in the list with its status.
- When the operation completes, reload the Active users list. The converted users now have the Member role. External guests, if any, remain guests.
To review the details of each converted user, including the team they were added to, in Admin Console | Company settings, go to Security > Audit logs. Learn more about Audit logs.
