Who can do it: All users
Which plans: Starter, Business, Enterprise, Education
Which platforms: Browser, Desktop, Mobile
Spaces is Miro's system for organizing boards, Docs, and other Formats and content into a shared, hierarchical home for your team's work. Instead of hunting across a flat list of boards, you and your team work inside a Space built around a specific business context, whether a product launch, a quarterly planning cycle, or a client account, with everything relevant to that goal in one place.
Each Space comes with its own overview, sidebar, and access controls, so context and permissions travel with the content. You can also create and reorder internal sections to add more clarity and structure. For an organization with hundreds of users and boards, that structure is what makes content actionable at scale.
More information: See Space Overview.
You can build a Space from scratch or start from a pre-built Blueprint.
From the moment you create it, your Space is discoverable from Home, Browse, and your team's sidebar, with its own emoji, sections, and overview already in place, and no extra setup required.
NOTE: The updated Spaces experience described in this article is in public beta. The rollout first applies to Starter and Business subscriptions from August 17, 2026, then continues gradually to Enterprise from August 24. Enterprise Guard customers are not yet included. Because of broader navigation updates coming soon, some UX described in this article may not immediately match what you see in product.

Space Overview
Navigating from Home, or by URL, every Space opens directly to its unique Space Overview: a live-activity feed that shows what's going on, so you don't have to open every board inside before taking action. No setup required.
The Space Overview provides daily activity and statistical updates prepared by Miro AI. The overview also enables you to write and share updates manually, and prepare an AI-generated weekly summary. You can format and share any update card to other tools like Slack. To learn more, see Space Overview.
NOTE: Daily Miro AI activity and statistical updates do not consume AI credits. Preparing a weekly AI narrative summary consumes two (2) Miro AI credits per request. Sharing either update does not consume credit. For more information, including behavior when Miro AI is disabled for your organization, see Space Overview and Miro AI reference.
TIP: The Space Overview is MCP-enabled. If your team uses AI agents, you can pull and push Space-level updates and decisions into your agent through Miro's MCP server.
To learn what's possible from the Space Overview, including what happens when Miro AI is enabled or disabled, see Space Overview.
