Activating business-sensitive data discovery enables Sensitive Content admins to seamlessly identify, classify, and secure critical business data—without needing to know exactly what to search for. With a single toggle click, Sensitive Content admins can leverage Miro's built-in machine learning labels to efficiently automate the identification and labeling of common categories of sensitive business information that belong to either of the following categories:
- Technical designs, including architectural and data flows, data models, security architecture.
- Customer information, including customer licensing, account renewals, usage metrics, account pricing, flexible licensing.
- Company strategy, including company OKRS, planning and goals, company objectives, annual roadmaps, key responsibilities.
To activate business-sensitive data discovery, perform the following steps:
✏️ To activate business-sensitive data discovery, you must have the Sensitive Content Admin role. To request for the Sensitive Content Admin role, contact your Company Admin.
- Go to your Miro settings.
- On the left pane, under Enterprise Guard, click Data discovery.
- On the Data discovery page, click the Configuration tab.
- In the Business-sensitive section, click the Activate button.
A slide-out panel appears. - Click the Activate button at the bottom of the slide-out panel.
Once you activate business-sensitive data discovery, the first scan starts automatically. Results will be available after a few minutes or hours, depending on the number of Miro boards in your organization. You can view results in the Data Discovery Overview page or the Content Explorer.
