A board is an online whiteboard which you can use to work on concepts and ideas, on your own or with a team. Although each board in Miro is endless, it's easier to navigate your projects, if each of them is stored on a separate board.
Your boards are located in teams/accounts. If you are a member of several teams, first choose a team on the left side of the Dashboard to which a new board will belong.
To create a board, click on a blue button on your Dashboard (please note, that the option to create a board is not available if you are not a member of the chosen team or project):
The blue button to create a new board is always the first one on your dashboard
If you have more than one team, select the team to which a new board will belong. You will be able to move a board between different teams after that.
If you have several accounts, a certain team is always chosen
If you choose a team and then choose a certain project within the working space - the board will also automatically belong to that very project and will be shared with the project's participants - they can be seen beside the project's name:
The dashboard shows to which project your board will belong and to which team the project belongs
To jump-start your work, upon entering your board for the first time we will suggest using one of the templates from our library. You can skip it if you wish - you will always be able to use templates later.
Board information card
After you have created the board, you can change its title, add a description or set a cover picture in the board settings menu or add it to a project or Favorites (star it). Here you can also share, duplicate or delete the board. And you will also see when it was created or edited.
Note that the Select preview area option is not supported in Safari
