As you create a Miro board, you get access to a few sets of board tools and settings. The toolbars surround the board working space.
Miro UI updates in phased rollout
Miro is enhancing the board user interface to be more inclusive and intuitive, and introducing an evolution of Projects called Spaces. The rollout will occur gradually for all Miro accounts over several weeks.
In case you already have the enhanced UI and Spaces layout, this article may describe entry-points that have changed.
To view the most current documentation, see Miro's new simplified user interface.
This article will be updated when the rollout is complete.

Issues with toolbars
If some toolbars are not available for you:
- Make sure that you have editor/commenter access to the board. You can check your access level in the top right corner of the board.
Checking your access rights on the board - If you still experience the issue while working in Miro on desktop, try these troubleshooting steps.
- If the issue perists on iPad, please be aware that this may be caused by iPad RAM limitations. Try the following:
- close all unnecessary background applications before using Miro - this should better the performance
- work on boards that are smaller in size - this should lighten the load of the app on the system
- switch to another device (laptop or computer) with better RAM and use the browser version of Miro
- Make sure that you have editor access to the board. You can check your access level in the top right corner of the board.
Checking your access rights on the board - Check your browser zoom level - for the best experience, we recommend setting it to 100%. Otherwise, tools may be hidden for you.
Browser zoom - Make sure tools are not hidden on your creation/collaboration toolbars.
