Setting up notifications in Microsoft Teams
With the help of the app, you can keep track of the following events:
- invitees sign up
- a board is shared with you
- there's a new comment or a reply to your comment on a board
- someone @mentions you in a comment or reply
- receive and approve board access requests
Notifications are received through the Miro bot chat. To set up the Miro bot chat:
- Connect your account. Type in the Connect command and then click Connect Miro to Microsoft Teams.
- In the new tab you'll need to authorize your Miro profile. Once you’ve successfully connected your account, you will see a greeting message from the bot indicating that everything is set up.
- You will start to get notifications for new comments and mentions.
- Sharing Miro board links in Microsoft Teams.
Using the Miro for Microsoft Teams app, you can share Miro board links as an adaptive card through:
- Link unfurling
- Search message extensions
Adaptive cards provide users with detailed context about the board, such as title, owner, and last updated. Users can also take actions such as managing board permissions and leveraging Miro AI to summarize key takeaways in a doc.
Miro boards unfurl into an adaptive card automatically when a board link is pasted into the message compose box in Microsoft Teams channels when you have installed and connected the Miro app.
If you have installed the app but not yet connected your Miro account, you’ll see the option to sign in. If you have not yet installed the app, follow the steps here.
