There's now an easy way to identify similar sticky notes and visualize themes on your boards. Clustering helps to quickly make sense of a team’s input and surface the best ideas. Beyond meetings, Clustering can help organize all kinds of information.
Clustering is based on an algorithm that estimates the similarity between stickies. Only the text is evaluated. If the stickies contain similar words, synonyms or themes, they will generally have a high similarity score. So for example, if you had “elephant”, “orange”, “giraffe”, and “laptop” on stickies, elephant and giraffe would be clustered because they have high similarity.
Available for: Team, Consultant, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans
To start the clustering journey, click the expander arrows icon on the collaboration toolbar in the top-right corner. Then click the Clustering app icon.
Selecting the Clustering app
Select all the sticky notes you would like to cluster. This will define which sticky notes to consider within the recommended suggestions. Then, select a sticky note to which you would like to find sticky notes suggestions that are similar to this original sticky note. Once the search area is selected, Miro will analyze the sticky notes and will find similar ones based on the text they contain. Sticky notes that are similar will be highlighted, sticky notes that are not should be dimmed/faded.
