Miro Talktrack is the fastest way to share context with your team. Record a quick walkthrough of your Miro board or anything else on your screen. Your recordings sit right next to the work they're about, so context stays where decisions happen.
Whether or not you have a Miro plan and regardless of your plan type, you can watch any Talktracks shared with you.
TIP: If you're a Company Admin on Enterprise Plan, you can grant access to Talktrack for your organization in your Feature access settings. Learn more about Talktrack Admin security.
Where can I use Talktrack?
Here are some common use cases where Talktrack is helpful:
- Meeting pre-reads and recaps.
- Weekly team updates.
- Stand-in presentation recording for meetings you cannot attend.
- Onboarding people to new processes or information.
- Pre-workshop/class instructions.
- Gathering feedback on your board content.
- Sharing a project plan or roadmap.

NOTE: When users duplicate a board, any Talktracks will also be duplicated to the new board.
Record a Talktrack
- Click on the Record Talktrack icon in the Collaboration toolbar.
- Click on the Record button under Record Talktrack.
- In the Record Talktrack panel, select your settings, including What to record (tab, window, full screen, or camera stream only).
- Click Start Recording when you're ready to begin.
To stop recording
- Click on the Record Talktrack or start a call icon in the Collaboration toolbar.
- Click Stop Recording.
Your Talktrack recordings will appear in the Library tab, accessible via the Video calls and Talktrack recordings menu.
Talktracks for Business and Enterprise plan users will automatically generate a transcript, summary, and chapters. Talktracks can also be connected to Miro Sidekicks and Miro Flows.
Record a Talktrack with the Miro Talktrack Chrome extension
The functionality of the Miro Talktrack Chrome extension is essentially identical to the on board experience, except it can start from outside a Miro board.
- Click on the Talktrack Chrome extension icon in your browser.
- Select the Miro board to save the Talktrack to, or create a new board from the menu.
- In the Record Talktrack panel, select your settings, including What to record (tab, window, full screen, or camera stream only).
- Click Start Recording when you're ready to begin.
- When you're done recording, follow the instructions to stop recording.
Edit your Talktrack
- Access your recorded Talktrack via Record Talktrack
or start a callmenu > Library. - Click on the Edit icon in the upper left corner of the Talktrack window.
- Drag the endpoints on the waveform to edit where your Talktrack starts and ends.
- Select a portion of the Talktrack waveform and then click Delete selection to delete parts of your Talktrack.
- When you've made the necessary edits, click the Finish button to save changes and return to the Talktrack playback.
NOTE: You can view the transcript of your Talktrack while you edit, making it easier to cut the exact parts you want to cut.
Viewer analytics
Find out who watched your Talktrack recording. Click the Library button under the Record Talktrack icon on Collaboration toolbar, navigate to the recording, and click the eye icon to see the list of viewers.
Add a Talktrack to your board
You can add a Talktrack to your board by:
- Access your recorded Talktrack via Record Talktrack or start a call menu > Library.
- Drag and drop the Talktrack onto the board.
- You can reposition or resize the Talktrack video widget once it's on the board.
Playing a Talktrack
Available on: Browser, Desktop app
Anyone (including unregistered users) with access to the board can watch the board Talktracks.
There are three ways to play a Talktrack:
- By following the direct link to a Talktrack.
- By clicking the Video icon on the collaboration toolbar. Then click on the Watch Recordings button. If there are new recordings since you last visited the board, you will see a blue dot above the icon. Any board collaborator can copy links to Talktracks.
- By clicking on a Talktrack that has been added to a board.

Playback controls
Viewers can skip forward and rewind 10 seconds when watching a Talktrack. To watch the Talktrack faster or slower, select different playback speeds in playback mode on the toolbar. Viewers can also view an Overview, Comments, and a Transcript via the Talktrack side panel.
Talktrack reactions
Viewers can instantly provide feedback on specific moments of a Talktrack by using emojis. In the playback toolbar, simply click on an emoji to react directly on the recording timeline. Talktrack reactions visually highlight important or notable moments within the Talktrack, for a collaborative viewing experience.
Playing a Talktrack during a presentation
Play a previously recorded Talktrack in Interactive Presentation Mode. Even when a presenter can't make it to the meeting, they can still present ideas async to the team.
- While in presentation mode, go to the presenter toolbar at the bottom of your screen.
- Click Timer, voting and tools.
- Select Talktrack.
- The Talktrack panel will open.
Viewing all of your Talktracks
To see all of the Talktracks you've recorded without having to navigate to individual boards:
- Navigate to your Miro Dashboard.
- In the left-side menu, click on Your recordings.
- A list of all Talktrack recordings you've participated in will be shown.
Adding a Talktrack in Coda, Notion, and Productboard
Embed your Talktrack presentations directly within Coda, Notion, and Productboard for enhanced collaborative work and presentation flow. Viewers can directly watch and interact with the Talktrack without leaving the platform, streamlining the sharing and viewing experience.
Copy the Talktrack embed code in Miro:
- Open the board where your Talktrack is located.
- Click on the Library button under Video icon in the collaboration toolbar.
- The Talktrack panel will open on the right side of your board.
- Within the panel, locate the Talktrack you wish to share.
- Click on the vertical three dots icon on the relevant Talktrack.
- Select Embed video.
- The Talktrack embed code will be copied to your clipboard.
Paste the link into your desired platform:
- Open the Coda, Notion, or Productboard page where you want to add the Talktrack.
- Find a text field where you wish to insert the Talktrack.
- Paste the copied Talktrack link directly into the text field.
- Depending on the platform (Coda, Notion, or Productboard), several options may appear after pasting the link. Select the option to embed the content.
- Once embedded, the Talktrack will appear in playback view, allowing viewers to play it directly from the embedded Miro board on the page.
Sharing a Talktrack in Slack
You can share a Talktrack link in Slack and have it play within Slack rather than redirecting to a browser.
- Install the Miro Slack app.
- Open the board where your Talktrack is located.
- Click on the Library button under Video icon in the collaboration toolbar.
- The Talktrack panel will open on the right side of your board.
- Within the panel, locate the Talktrack you wish to share.
- Click on the vertical three dots icon on the relevant Talktrack.
- Select Copy link from the menu.
- Paste the link into the relevant Slack channel.
