The Dashboard is your main workspace in Miro. You use it to navigate between your teams, Spaces, and boards. From the dashboard, you have quick access to your profile settings, team settings, projects, any boards shared with you within a selected team, and all boards you have starred across your entire profile. The dashboard is also where you can create a new board, search through your existing boards, upload board backups, and organize your boards.
Understand your dashboard layout
Your dashboard provides a centralized view of your teams and boards, allowing for efficient navigation and management. You can see an overview of available teams and how boards are displayed.

Navigate between your teams
You can easily switch between different Miro teams you are a member of or have been invited to. To see your teams, click your current team's name in the upper-left corner of the dashboard. A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to select and switch to another team by clicking its name. Organize and locate your boards
The dashboard offers several ways to organize and find your boards efficiently. You can filter boards by ownership (owned by anyone, owned by you, or not owned by you), sort them alphabetically or by date (created, last opened, last modified), and switch between a grid view or list view. The Recent section in the top-left corner shows boards you recently opened from any team. For quick access to important boards, you can star them, and they will appear in the dedicated Starred boards view on your dashboard.
✏️ Note: Password-protected boards are only shown in the Recent and Starred lists as long as they are visible to you. Once the session expires, the boards are removed from these lists until you open the board again from a direct link and re-enter the board password.
