The advanced user management in Miro allows Company Admins the ability to deactivate users instead of deleting the user from an account. Deactivated users stay in the account directory and can be reactivated at any time.
Deactivate a user
You can temporarily deactivate a user in your account at any time. When you deactivate a user, you can expect the following:

Deactivated users will be automatically signed out and will not be able to sign back into your account

Shared boards and projects created by deactivated users are still available to collaborators

All notifications to deactivated users are blocked

Other users cannot share boards and projects with deactivated users

Deactivated users cannot be added to teams within your account

Deactivated users are not billed, their Full licenses are released and can be applied to another active user.
To deactivate a user:

Open your Enterprise Plan Account Settings.

Select User & Team Management > Active Users.

Click the three-dot menu to the right of a user you would like to deactivate. You can deactivate users in bulk using bulk actions.
- Check Reassign user's content box if you would like to transfer the user's boards and projects.

Select Deactivate.
Deactivating a user
✏️ Note: To deactivate a Company Admin you need to revoke Company Admin permissions first.
Deactivating users won’t remove their data in Miro. Boards they created and permissions they have will be retained and will be restored once the users are re-activated.
Reactivate a user
To reactivate a user:

Open your Enterprise Plan Account Settings.

Select User & Team Management > Deactivated Users.

Click the three-dot menu to the right of a user you would like to reactivate.

Select Reactivate.
Reactivating a user
When you reactivate a user:

Users can sign in right away.
-
They will have access to shared boards, team boards and boards they created prior to their account being deactivated.
✏️ Note: Only Company Admins can re-activate deactivated users.
Permanently delete a user
To permanently delete a deactivated user:

Open your Enterprise Plan Account Settings.

Select User & Team Management > Deactivated Users.
-
Click the three-dot menu to the right of a user you would like to delete. You can delete deactivated users in bulk using bulk actions.

Select Delete.

✏️ Note: After deletion, users can be invited back to your account as Members or onto a board as Non-team users by anyone having permission to add new users.
