Miro AI credits enable you to use AI features in Miro. For each AI action you perform, you consume AI credits.
Miro allocates a set number of AI credits to your account each month. The balance depends on your plan.
For Enterprise and Free plans, your balance resets on the first day of each calendar month. For Starter and Business, your balance resets monthly on your renewal date. For example, if you are on a yearly plan and your renewal date is March 3, then your balance resets on the third day of each month during your subscription.

When your account runs out of AI credit, a modal opens in Miro that shows your options for additional AI credits, including the paid Miro AI credits add-on.
Any member of your team can consume AI credits when they perform an AI action. Guests and Visitors cannot perform AI actions, and do not consume AI credit.
TIP: On paid plans, you can check your AI credit balance.
Miro AI credit consumption
Every AI action consumes AI credit from your monthly allocation. For example, the Miro Prototypes add-on consumes five (5) AI credits per AI-generated screen, and any AI-generated image consumes three (3).

NOTE: Sidekicks consume 2 AI credits each time you execute a prompt. Ensure your prompts are as detailed as possible to reduce the number of executions needed to achieve your result.
NOTE: If Miro AI is unable to generate output, and shows an error message, then no AI credit is consumed.
NOTE: Accessibility features, like generating image alt-text, do not consume AI credit.
Example AI-credit consumption scenarios
Generate a Prototype for UX flow
You use the Miro Prototypes add-on to generate 6 screens for an onboarding flow.
Based on your prompt, Miro AI generates 6 individual prototype screens that you can edit.
- Approximate credit consumption: 30 AI credits.
- Consumption breakdown: 5 AI credits per screen for 6 screens (5*6) = 30 AI credits consumed.
Create and iterate a Slide presentation
You generate a strategy deck from notes on the board, and iterate specific slides.
Miro AI scans your board for context and creates a structured Slide presentation with 10 slides, each with layout, text, and visuals.
Then you prompt Miro AI to rewrite the 'Executive Summary' slide, and add 1 new slide called 'Next Steps'.
- Approximate credit consumption: 60 AI credits.

Consumption breakdown:
- 5 AI credits per Slide for 10 slides (5*10) = 50 AI credits consumed.
- Plus 5 AI credits for iterating the 'Executive Summary' slide.
- Plus 5 AI credits for generating the additional 'Next Steps' slide.
TIP: Make each prompt as detailed as possible to use the fewest number of credits per generation.
AI credits per plan
The following table shows how many credits are allocated monthly per plan.

For your organization collectively, Miro uses credits per license to calculate your monthly allocation of AI credits. Any AI action performed inside your organization consumes credit from that allocation.
If you add or remove users during a billing cycle, Miro adjusts your credit allocation dynamically. Your AI credit allocation is updated to fit your new team size on your next billing date.
(Enterprise, Free) Your monthly allocation of Miro AI credits resets on the first day of each calendar month
(Business, Starter) Your monthly allocation of Miro AI credits resets on your plan renewal date.
💡 To increase your AI credit balance, Starter, Business, and Enterprise plans are eligible to purchase the Miro AI credits add-on.
Enterprise AI credits
In an Enterprise subscription, the number of credits allocated per license per month varies per license tier. Company admins can monitor AI credit allocation and consumption in Admin Console.
In Admin Console, go to Billing > Subscription.

Check your AI credit balance
On a paid Miro subscription, Billing admins and Company admins can check the AI credit balance for their organization anytime. The credit balance is not shown on Free plans.
Starter and Business plans
Go to Admin Console > Billing. The Billing view shows your AI credit usage and remaining balance.
Enterprise plans
Go to Admin Console > Billing > Subscription. The Subscription view shows your AI credit usage and remaining balance.
Miro AI credits add-on
The Miro AI credit add-on is a paid subscription that increases your monthly AI credit limit.
