Attention Management is a set of powerful facilitation features for meetings and workshops. It allows meeting organizers and workshop facilitators to guide participants and ensure everyone is following and engaged.
Miro UI updates in phased rollout
Miro is enhancing the board user interface to be more inclusive and intuitive, and introducing an evolution of Projects called Spaces. Miro is now rolling out these updates over several weeks.
This article describes updated entry-points. To see an overview of all updates, see Miro's new simplified user interface.
Why use attention management?
This feature is especially important for facilitating massive workshops with dozens of participants because it helps to direct their attention to the area of the board where collaboration is happening at a particular moment. As a facilitator, you can easily switch between presenting and collaborating - take the stage and present the board to the participants and, when necessary, start collaborating right away.
💡 Never get lost on the board with the color alignment - the color of the cursors and avatar borders of your collaborators are synchronized for all board participants.
Follow
Available for: Free, Starter, Business and Enterprise plans
If you are working with multiple facilitators or presenters, it's possible to follow them. This way you can easily switch between different areas of the board and follow what other participants do.
Navigate to the collaboration toolbar in the top right corner and click on the avatar of a particular collaborator to start following them. To stop following a user, click anywhere on the board, move the cursor, or just zoom in/out.
The user that is being followed sees the corresponding message on their avatar.
Bring everyone to me
Available for: Starter, Education, Business and Enterprise plans
Set up by: board owners, co-owners, editors who have editing access via email invitation or because they are a part of a project or team
Easily bring all collaborators to the area of the board you want everyone to focus on with Bring everyone to me functionality. Once you bring all of the participants to the particular area of the board, we enable auto-following, which means that all of the collaborators will be seeing exactly the same content as you until they move their cursors/zoom/click the board.
Navigate to the communication toolbar in the top right corner and click on your own avatar and choose to bring all collaborators to the area of the board you want them to focus on.
Bring to me
Available for: Free, Starter, Education, Business and Enterprise plans
Set up by: board owners, co-owners, editors who have editing access via email invitation or because they are a part of a project or team
If you notice that someone accidentally got lost on the board, it’s possible to direct collaborators back to the focus area one by one.
Navigate to the communication toolbar in the top right corner and click on your own avatar and use the three dots (...) menu next to a collaborator's name to bring a particular person to the area of the board you want them to focus on. The user will follow your screen until they move their cursor/zoom/click the board.
Bringing one collaborator
