What happens after downgrading your plan
Miro plans are flexible, which means you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.
When you downgrade, the three most recently created boards will remain active - the rest of the boards will be paused in view-only mode. You will not be able to modify or delete your projects, and custom templates will not be available.
After downgrading, your Billing settings will be hidden, so we recommend downloading your post-payment invoices before the downgrade. If there are outstanding payments for additional seats (licenses), your card will be charged as soon as you cancel.
As Free Plan does not support private boards, these will be locked. Learn how to unlock your private boards.
✏️ If you upgrade with self-serve invoicing and cancel your subscription before paying your first invoice, the team is downgraded to Free Plan immediately.
How to downgrade to Free Plan
Who can do it: Admins, Billing Admins
Before downgrading to a Free Plan you first need to cancel your subscription and then wait for the expiration. A subscription expires only after it has been canceled and the current paid period ends.
- Cancel your subscription in Settings > Billing > Overview > Cancel subscription. All future payments will stop immediately. You can find the subscription expiration date under Plan details.
Canceling a subscription - When the subscription expires, open your dashboard and click Choose your plan in the yellow notification banner at the top.
- A pop-up window will open. Under Free Plan, click Downgrade.
