Learn how to regain control of your Miro team if your Miro Admin has left the company.
Access the Miro Admin's profile
To regain access and admin rights to your Miro team, the Team Admin should have an active email address that you can use to change the password and log in.
Only Admins can promote other users to the Admin level. We recommend recovering an Admin’s password and promoting a team member to Team Admin. This security procedure enables Miro to protect your Miro space against unauthorized access.
If you’re unable to access the Admin's email, please reach out to your Email Service Provider (ESP) or IT team for assistance. Miro is unable to help you regain access to the email on your behalf.

I can’t access the Miro Admin's profile
If you can't gain access to the Miro Admin's profile, you can create a new team. You’ll then receive Admin permissions for a new team. Using this method, you can invite new collaborators to this new team and move the boards if necessary. Miro is not responsible for the migration of boards or users on your behalf.
If you’re still unable to access the Miro Admin's profile and can't create a new team, please reach out to Miro Support with details. We'll investigate the team and request additional confirmations and verifications to assist you.
We cannot guarantee recovery of the administrative access as we must abide by security and legal processes. If you or any other requestor are unable to meet these criteria, we cannot proceed on your behalf.
